BENEDICTUM Sign With LOCOMOTIVE RECORDS
July 9, 2005BENEDICTUM (formerly BOUND),the San Diego-based band fronted by powerhouse female vocalist Veronica Freeman, have inked a deal with Locomotive Records. The group's debut album, which will be produced by Jeff Pilson (DOKKEN, FOREIGNER),is scheduled for release on October 17.
BENEDICTUM were reportedly "discovered" by DIO guitarist Graig Goldy, who was impressed enough with what he heard that he turned the group on to longtime friend and former bandmate Pilson. Equally blown away by the band's raw talent and untapped potential, Pilson took on the role of producer and recorded BENEDICTUM at his Los Angeles-area studio.
The result of these first sessions are the three songs displayed on the band's MySpace.com page. From the band's anthemic signature tune, the crushing and impossibly catchy "Benedictum", to the melodic stylings of "Wicca", and the majestic, unrelenting "Misogyny", summed up by Veronica's spirited and emphatic proclamation, "I'm the bitch that you can't ignore!" BENEDICTUM are laying down the law in a big way and coming up winners all the way.
